From All-Request Photos: Stanley Cup Playoffs, Ernest Hemingway, Lucha Libre …, one of 36 photos. Here, Jesse Flanagan (@TetradTX) had asked for “anything from the screening of The Hobbit? Or just from cons in general?” I wasn’t able to find anything from the Hobbit, but was able to find this portrait of Joely Olsen from East Sussex, wearing a turret costume from the computer game “Portal” during the MCM London Comic Con convention at the ExCel center in east London on October 29, 2011. Running over two days, the event saw thousands of comic, sci-fi and gaming enthusiasts coming together to buy, sell and celebrate everything from sporting heroes to Japanese “Steam Punk” characters.
